  With 10 years on the scene and on stages across our country, KY is known to many, yet few are as yet aware of how multi-talented and ubiquitous he is. KY has come a long way from cutting his teeth with his Montreal glam-punk project Sassy Scarlet in the early 90's (think Stooges meets Nine Inch Nails). Relocating to Toronto five years ago, joining Robin Black's Intergalactic Rockstars (as bassist-turned-guitarist "Killer Ky"), Ky can also boast having backed the likes of Sylvain Sylvain (ex-New York Dolls) and Michael Monroe (ex-Hanoi Rocks).
  
  Except Ky never boasts. Instead, he's quietly released his solo debut: an eclectic acoustic collection that is as enchantingly melodic as it is unexpected.
  
  "Doodling on Jazz" is at once personal, funny, frighteningly honest and downright scary at its darker moments. Ky's musical hooks and lyrics reveal a multi-faceted mind that is sharper than most rock n rollers - with a cunning ability to pierce to the heart of the truth, seeing through the industry's smoke-screens both on the musical as well as personal levels.

  UK audiences have also been fortunate enough to see him play live as bassist for Crash Kelly (whose debut album Penny Pills Ky co-produced) as well as Neil Leyton - during Leyton's sets Ky sometimes fronted the band singing Johnny Thunders' "go back to go". Ky also recorded the track during an impromptu "live in the studio" session in Aberdeen, Scotland during Leyton's Alluvium Tour (feb/mar '03) ... it will appear on Leyton's "Alluvium Tour EP", to be released in 2004. ... more
